Robotics in Vaughan
The world needs more problem-solving leaders, which means that we need more students who are passionate Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). If students aren’t given the opportunity to learn Robotics at an early age how much fun engineering can be, how will they know if it’s something that interests them?
The concept and creation of autonomously operating machines dates back a long time, but credible research into the functionality and potential uses of robots did not grow substantially until the 20th century. And today, robotics is a rapidly growing field, as we continue to research, design and build new robots that serve various practical purposes including domestic, commercial and military. Having said that, the Robotics Club of Megamind Vaughan strives to stimulate interest in robotics among the students of the institute. Besides making a serious endeavour to spread knowledge on Robotics and its diverse applications, it also stands by the subtle acronym of TEAM - 'Together Everyone Achieves More'.
At the elementary school level, our robotics lessons start with simpler concepts like the scientific principles of distance, speed, pulleys, inertia and elasticity. Our robotics kit comes with everything ready to be assembled and include multi-week curriculum to help walk students through each lesson. Middle school and high school students work on more complex robotics projects that include motors, sensors, controllers and programming.
We provide extensive tutoring to students in math, physics, Chemistry, english and french subjects to all our school. STEM based Robotics when paired with our signature Mental Math Program is a winning combination to inspire children to explore the exciting world of engineering and technology while ensuring superior brain development, during the formative years of your child’s cognitive developmental process.
This 2 hour class will be held every Sunday from 10 am-12 pm. Our robotics platform is designed to transform the STEM learning paradigm for young students (grades 3-8).
